Apologies – this was supposed to post earlier, but didn’t go up! Clearly, you weren’t ready for the magic and the mayhem.
In which there are no words…
If there is a grand dame of RT, it is definitely Heather Graham. Each year she hosts a party that defies the phrase ‘over the top’ and pushes beyond to a place where even your imagination fears to follow.
This year’s theme, appropriately enough, was Magic and Mayhem. Party guests were invited to attend in costume, and the best (or worst? It’s hard to tell) of the costumed would be judged and winners declared. There would be a crowning of a King and Queen of the Dark, as well as a Dark court to serve them, and a King and Queen of the Light, and a Light court to serve them.
But before anyone else was lauded, first we had to honour Heather Graham. Adorned in a vampiric gown and pink wig, Heather arrived at the dinner in a glittering dragon float, where she proceeded to sing House of the Rising Sun (for music geeks out there – she did not use the original folk lyrics, but rather the version made famous by The Animals). The spectacle…defies words, and cannot be explained, only experienced.

Want to see some costumes? Of course you do!
